Jeanine Rocchi Technology Center
The technology center is where students come to learn basic and advanced skills. The curriculum follows the ISTE Standards (International Society for Technology in Education). The standards are designed for use by educators across the curriculum, with every age student, with a goal of cultivating these skills throughout a student’s academic career.
Students are able to take the foundational technology skills learned in the technology center and apply them to work in their classrooms and at home.
To this end, the technology center has been newly designed to meet the standards and more ~
To further advance the ISTE standards, the newly designed technology center will allow for more collaborative work that will include a Maker Space (see below).
A new seating plan will allow for independent and more collaborative work where students will solve problems and use creative and design thinking skills to produce end products. These products could include working with circuits, robotics, computer programming, to name a few.
